ABOUT US

OUR ORIGINS

Following a career in the civil service, Sam Smith-Higgins changed path completely and went to University to study Documentary, Film and Television. She later went on to work on award winning documentary and BBC dramas. In 2011, Red Beetle Films was born. Sam’s background knowledge of how businesses work has pushed the direction of Red Beetle Films towards videos for businesses. We know what we do best.
 
Why "Red Beetle"? Sam has owned four red Volkswagen Beetles from age 17 to the present day. Combine this with a love of The Beatles and this is the reason for our name. Oh, and the red bit is a nod to our Welsh heritage too! 

OUR APPROACH

We are a small team of happy filmmakers, with an edit suite, broadcast quality 4k resolution cameras and sound equipment. We don’t have expensive offices, which makes us flexible and very cost effective. We do have an extensive circle of freelancers whose skills we call on for special individual projects.

20 years in private sector, 20 years in public sector. Member of the British Psychological Society, Chartered Marketeer, Post-Grad Diploma in Law and IP. Has worked extensively in marketing and rights within the creative sector. Likes wine.
